Bhagavad Gita
Bhagvad Gita is the holy book of Hindus. Many people also refer this book as just Gita. The content of this book is sacred and it gives insights in to the various aspects of mankind. Not only people from India but many people from foreign countries praise the insights which are given in this book. Some of the foreigners who appreciated the content of this book include Albert Einstein, Carl Jung and Aldous Huxley. In Gita, lord Krishna plays a very important role. In this book, lord Krishna is guiding Arjuna, who was one of the Pandavas.
A large number of discussions in a lot of books and by scholars have taken place till now to understand the philosophy or message which is offered by Gita. According to Gita, people should stay away from 6 kinds of evils. These evils include lust, jealousy, delusion, pride, anger and greed. Whole of the content of Gita is nothing but conversation between Arjuna and Krishna. Krishna is telling Arjuna that why he has to go on with the Kurukshetra battle. There are a large number of confusions in the mind of Arjuna before starting the fight. Krishna acts as the mentor of Arjuna in this war.
