Lord Krishna

When the name of Lord Krishna is taken then we get to know that we are talking about the famous Hindu god. Krishna refers to the black color. As Lord Krishna was dark in color, this name was given to him. It is believed that Lord Krishna is an Avatar of Vishnu. According to the traditional belief, Krishna refers to the ultimate being. Most images of Lord Krishna display him with a flute in his hands. Lord Krishna is the one who guided and directed Arjuna in the holy book Bhagwad Gita. Lord Krishna was born in Mathura in a prison. The piece of land where Krishna was born is known as Ramjanam Bhoomi.

According to the ancient stories Krishna spent most of his childhood days in Vrindavan where he used to play with gopis. Krishna is also known by the name of supreme enjoyer. Stories also say that Krishna became a cow herder in Vrindavan. One of the famous friends of Krishna was Sudama. Krishna was born in a prison where his mother was imprisoned by her brother Kansa. Later on, Kansa was killed by Krishna. Krishna is worshipped according to the Vaishnavism. Vaishnavism refers to the practice of considering Vishnu as the ultimate god and following all the avatars of Vishnu.
