Out of the 7 sacred cities of India, Mathura is the most famous. The reason is that the great Lord Krishna was born in the city of Mathura, which is a part of Uttar Pradesh state. Krishnajanam bhoomi is the most famous tourist attraction present in Mathura. Months from October till March are best to visit Mathura. However, people from different parts of the world and India keep on visiting Mathura almost all round the year. Because of this there is no lack of hotels and lodges in Mathura.

Ramjanam bhoomi, Jai Gurudev ashram, Durvasa rishi ashram, kanstila, Shri Keshavji Gaudiya matha and Bhooteshwar temple are some of the very famous tourist spots present in Mathura. The Mathura museum should also be visited by people who visit Mathura. Just after entering Mathura city, you begin to feel closer to the god. A large number of people come to Mathura for getting peace of mind and for getting forgiveness from god for their bad deeds. The town of Vrindavan, which is located at a distance of 15 Kilometer from Mathura, is also very famous among the tourists because the almighty Lord Krishna spent his childhood days there.
