Tulasi Mala
India is country where a large number of Hindus live. People who follow Hindu religion worship a large number of gods and goddesses. When we talk about Tulasi Mala then we should understand that Tulasi is a plant which is worshipped under Hindu religion. There are many health benefits associated with Tulasi. Tulasi is considered as an important Ayurvedic medicine or herb. The tulasi plant can be seen in a large number of houses where Hindu people live. Two types of tulasi is worshipped in India. First, is Krishna tulasi which is dark in color and second is Ram tulasi which has light color.
Tulasi Mala is worn by many people in India. Tulasi Mala is also used by people for doing japa. A total of 108 beads of Tulasi are present in a single tulasi mala. People who do meditation and japa find tulasi mala very useful. While doing a japa, generally people recite the name of their god and keep on touching various beads of the tualsi mala one after another. Many people who believe in Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Ram wear Tulasi Mala as a symbol of their devotion to these gods. Tulasi Mala is considered very sacred in Hindu religion.
